Hydro. Hydrate. Hydration.

Winter has hit the UK and it's that time of the year where we all like getting warm and cosy. And it's all about keeping our skin and bodies well hydrated. Well it's Monday evening and I'm sipping on some lemon, ginger and honey tea to help boost my system. Anywayss let's leave the small talk and dive right in, shall we?

So I have exciting news! There was an email from Marketing Coordinator asking to collaborate with A Womans Mantra. Say whaaaat. Give me a moment whilst i get this fan girling moment out of my systems. Eeeek!

The brand is called Pravera. And I was sent a box with their Lavera Natural cosmetics including:

- Lavera Hydro Effect Cleansing Balm – a mild cleanser that effectively removes daily build-up of pollutants and traces of make-up, leaving the skin feeling fresh and clean.

- Lavera Hydro Effect Day Cream – a nourishing and hydrating facial cream that locks in moisture, keeping skin soft and supple

- Lavera Hydro Effect Detox Mask – a detoxifying treat that helps to neutralise free radical damage without harming the skins natural barriers.

- Lavera Hydro Effect Serum – A light hydrating serum that helps to protect against premature skin ageing and creating super soft glowing skin.

I just want to put out a disclaimer: I was not sponsored by the brand to review theses products, so the reviews will be own opinions. 100%. And I have only tested these products a handful of times.

So in the last few days I have replaced my original products with these hydration products in my daily skincare routines.

Let's start with the 'Hydro Effect Cleansing Balm'. It's a normal cream yet light consistency, and what I usually like to do with cleansing balms is apply directly on my full face of makeup. However you cannot do this with the product. It doesn't break down the foundation or lipstick very well. So I used this balm as my second cleanser, as usually we should be using the double cleanse approach. The balm does leave your face feeling hydrated and clean. Do I feel like this is suitable for all skin types? Yes. Suitable for sensitive skin? Yes.

Now moving on to the best part of skincare routines. Face masks. This mask is like the 'BodyShop warming mineral clay mask', where you massage the mask on damp skin and then let it sit for 10-15 minutes. I have only used the face mask once, so I don't really have much to say. The mask has a fresh mineral scent, and is a mint green colour and fine bead like texture. I would strongly advise to not get the mask around the lip area. I made the mistake and had a very tingly top lip! Oops!

Next is the 'Hydro Effect Serum'. This serum is like no other serum that I have used, most of them are thick like a cream or thick gel like consistency, which leaves a sticky feel on your face. This serum has a water like consistency and will soak into your skin without the extra effort of patting it in. It leaves your skin feeling smooth and really hydrated. The serum has a similar scent to the 'Bodyshop drops of youth liquid peel'.

To finish off the morning skincare routine I used the 'Hydra effect day cream'. Now I really liked this cream. In the colder months, although my skin is the oily type, I still need extra moisturisation during these seasons. And this cream has a gel like consistency with the intense moisture factor. My skin instantly feels well hydrated and firm after applying the combination of the serum and day cream.

I tested the serum and day cream combination with a full face of makeup as it said it will help to protect your skin from the harmful environmental conditions. The foundation sat really well on the skin and blended in as the combination of the products created a silky smooth finish on your skin. My foundation didn't breakdown with the changes in temperature. Which is a big plus for me as my skin cannot deal with the hot air conditioning at work during colder seasons. I am super sensitive. I mean my skin.

That's it from me this week beauty baes, if you would like to have a look at the products I used then, click here. If there are any products you want to hear reviews on then do let me know. :) And a little note to finish, whenever you do use new products, please do a patch test to see that you do not have a reaction.

Take care and lots of love,

Pri xo
