Spring is coming. Hello!

Those were our first thoughts when we met and we were so damn right!

We never thought we would be friends, it just seemed like we had nothing in common. To our surprise, we actually became inseparable.

Yeah, yeah - it’s cheesy, get used to it! What became evident (way too quickly should we say) was our common love for freedom from prejudice. Let’s just say that following the standards set by society ain’t exactly in our DNA. (Not saying that you shouldn’t behave. Be you; whatever that entails!)

Bottom line is this: we are like two sides of the same coin, but had we chosen to focus on our differences (there are sugarloads!) we would’ve never had the privilege to learn from each other and grow as individuals. Here we go with all that cheesiness again...

So, before all hell broke loose (yes, we’re talking about He Who Must Not Be Named) we sat down and agreed on yet ANOTHER thing: the world needs to be shown that two different people can accept each other, love each other and even be best friends (we also agreed that chocolate is much better than biscuits).

Back to the point. In a world where differences are placed on a pedestal, we often make a conscious effort to focus on our similarities. It’s difficult and it definitely goes against human nature, but the outcome… Invaluable.

This blog isn't just about accepting and loving yourself; it is about accepting and loving others - just the way they are. That's how we triumph. It is about reminding people that you can make a conscious choice to focus on the good rather than the bad.
